One of the most memorable halftime shows was the 2025 Kendrick Lamar performance, which drew 133.5 million viewers from the US. This set a record for the most-watched halftime show ever! The show had amazing visuals and featured some of his hit songs. Many argue that the best halftime show was in 2007, from Prince, though. It featured one of his top hits, “Purple Rain,” along with incredible visuals and other hits. Some say he could connect with the audience through his music. Even now, his performance is talked about, and how remarkable it was. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can watch it here: https://youtu.be/HKkO3TjzJYc.

Michael Jackson’s Game Changer
For me, Michael Jackson’s appearance in the XXVII (27th) Super Bowl was my favorite. Not only did he take the stage by storm, but he also completely transformed the Super Bowl and the halftime shows! Before his performance, the halftime shows were usually filled with marching bands and pretty dull, but when Michael took the stage, he changed that. With his top hits like “Billie Jean” and “Black or White,” he made a performance nobody could forget, like a concert rather than a break in the game. From his iconic moon walk on the stage and the amazing visuals he brought, he set a high bar for future performances. Over 133.4 million people watched from the US, making it one of the most-watched halftime shows ever. You can watch his amazing performance here: https://youtu.be/aMZoTMJJL5Q.

He could definitely put out an exciting show featuring some of his hits, and many fans are excited to see him and engage with them. Given his talent and popularity, he can definitely connect with his viewers and make this Super Bowl a great one!
